At approximately 24 inches long, our handmade denim whale is wonderfully substantial for little arms to carry from the bedroom floor to the next great under-the-sea expedition. When playtime is over, his quiet blue palette makes him just as happy resting on a bed, bookshelf, or favorite reading spot.
Made from upcycled blue jeans, each whale gives previously loved denim a completely new story. Different shades and washes are pieced together to form his rounded body, contrasting underbelly, long flippers, dorsal fin, and sweeping tail.
Look a little closer and you’ll find one of our favorite details: the underbelly is finished with visible hand stitching, adding another small reminder that this whale was made one at a time—not on an assembly line.

- A Note About Your Whale
Part of the charm of working with upcycled denim is that no two pieces of fabric are exactly alike. Variations in color, fading, texture, seams, and other characteristics of the original jeans are expected and are not considered defects. They are part of what gives each finished whale its individual character. - Although safety eyes are designed to lock securely into the fabric, they are still small components. This whale is not intended for children under 3 years old. As with all handmade toys, we recommend checking it periodically for signs of wear.
